Nature's Path Plants It Forward With "Gardens for Good" Grant Program

In an effort to promote organic agriculture, Nature’s Path has launched its third annual Gardens for Good grant program.

In an effort to promote organic agriculture and easy access to organic food, Nature’s Path, along with a partner organization, has launched its third annual Gardens for Good grant program.

Since the program’s launch, more than $100,000 has been awarded to well-deserving non-profits. This year, three recipients will be awarded grants of $15,000 each, toward an organic, community garden project. In addition, winners will receive technical design and production mentorship, a free organic breakfast community celebration, and a donation of Nature’s Path products to help fill the pantries of a local food bank.

The grant program has been instrumental in the execution of many community initiatives focusing on local and organic farming. For example, 2010 Garden for Good grant recipients SOULfood used the money to further expand production at their farm, which employs residents from Vancouver’s Downtown East Side.

For more information on the program and to learn about past grant recipients, visit Nature’s Path’s website.
