    Men, let’s make 2015 the year that we change this stat and take control of our health! Here are five important ways to get started.

    March is Men’s Health Month for us here at alive, and each year there’s been a men’s health issue that keeps coming up: time and time again, it’s been shown that men visit their health care practitioner for regular check-ups and preventive care far less than women. Does this mean that men are healthier? Nope.

    Men, let’s make 2015 the year that we change this stat and take control of our health! Women, if you’re reading this and thinking of the men in your lives, why not pass this guide on to them?

    Step one: get checked

    Yes, this does mean that you’ll have to book an appointment with your health care practitioner. However, what tests you need depend on your age. Check out our article, “Boys to Men” to discover the to-do list for you.

    Prevention is key

    If you’ve been given the all-clear at your health care practitioner’s office, the work is actually far from over. Living a healthy lifestyle means eating well, exercising, and—possibly—taking supplements every day. Learn the how-to with these guides.

    The importance of mental health

    Men’s mental health is, unfortunately, often overlooked. However, as with women’s mental health, it’s an extremely important facet of overall well-being.
